HomeGuard Weather Privacy
HomeGuard Weather is an iPhone app that turns your local forecast and official weather alerts into simple home-care checklists. Free to start; HomeGuard+ is $59.99/year or $9.99/month, no hardware required. This policy covers the app and this website. We collect what we need to run the service: your Sign in with Apple identifier and email, your home location, the home details you enter, and your HomeGuard+ purchase records. We do not sell your data, show ads, track you across apps, or use third-party analytics.
Effective date: October 13, 2026. Last updated: October 26, 2026.
HomeGuard Weather is operated by WallStack Systems LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what the HomeGuard Weather iPhone app and the homeguardweather.com website collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Free printable home checklists are available in the public checklist library without submitting personal information. The separate iPhone beta waitlist collects only the information described below when you choose to join.
Information the app collects
- Account: HomeGuard uses Sign in with Apple only. We store the Apple user identifier and the email address Apple shares with us, which may be a private relay address. We do not store your name.
- Home location: the precise coordinates of your home, a street-level home label, and ZIP or postal code. You can set this from your iPhone’s location while using the app, or by typing an address that Apple’s geocoding service converts to coordinates. HomeGuard does not track your location in the background.
- Home details you enter: home features and equipment, notes, whether you own or rent, alert preferences, and your checklist progress and maintenance history.
- Notifications: if you allow notifications, your device’s Apple push notification token and an app installation ID, so we can deliver checklist alerts to that iPhone.
- HomeGuard+ purchases: when you subscribe to, buy, or redeem a code for HomeGuard+, the app sends the purchase’s App Store transaction IDs to our server. We confirm them with Apple and store the product, purchase and expiry dates, and any refund, linked to your account. Apple also tells our server about renewals, refunds, and code redemptions. We use this only to provide HomeGuard+ features and notifications. Apple handles payment; we never receive your payment card details.
How you add home details
You add home details by tapping answers in the app, such as whether you have a sump pump or outdoor faucets, and you can skip any question. HomeGuard does not send your home details to an AI service.
How we use information
- To find official weather alerts, forecasts, air quality, and the FEMA flood zone for your home
- To create, sync, and remind you about weather checklists for your home
- To send notifications you have allowed
- To provide HomeGuard+ features to people who have HomeGuard+
- To keep the service secure, reliable, and working, and to respond to your requests
HomeGuard has no advertising, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, does not sell or rent personal information, and does not include third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs.
Where data is stored
Your home and checklist data is stored on your iPhone so the app works with a weak signal, and synced to our backend, which is hosted by Supabase in the United States. Access to household data is restricted to the account that owns it.
Service providers and data sources
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, push notifications, address geocoding, and App Store purchases
- Supabase: backend hosting and database
- U.S. government sources: your home’s coordinates are used to request alerts and forecasts from the National Weather Service (api.weather.gov) and flood zone information from FEMA’s flood maps. Air quality comes from EPA AirNow data.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website and the waitlist
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and security of our users and service.
Retention and account deletion
We keep your account and home data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and household data from our servers and from that iPhone, and revokes HomeGuard’s Sign in with Apple connection. We complete deletion promptly. HomeGuard keeps only anonymous usage totals that can’t be linked back to you. You can also email hello@homeguardweather.com for help with deleting your data.
Deleting the app does not cancel a HomeGuard+ subscription; manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
Your choices
- Location: you can type an address instead of sharing your device location, and change location access in iPhone Settings.
- Notifications: you can turn notifications off in iPhone Settings or choose which alert types create checklists in the app.
- Home details: every question is optional; you can skip any of them.
- Access, correction, or deletion: edit your home details in the app, delete your account in Settings, or email us.
Information submitted on this site
This site collects the waitlist information you submit: your email address, optional ZIP code or region, and basic marketing attribution such as UTM fields, landing-page variant, referrer, and capture time.
The waitlist flow does not store raw IP addresses, require cookies, or add invasive tracking.
- Email address (required to join the waitlist)
- ZIP code or region (optional)
- Marketing attribution: UTM fields and landing-page variant
- Referrer and capture time
Home Readiness Check responses
The free Home Readiness Check collects only the five answers you choose: ZIP code or region, homeowner stage, home type, relevant home features, and primary weather concern. It also stores completion time, a random anonymous response ID, and the same basic marketing attribution described above. It does not collect street addresses, property values, or an email address to show your plan or a free checklist.
You may separately choose to join the iPhone beta waitlist after seeing your result. In that case, your waitlist record may be linked to the anonymous response ID. Your email is not stored in the quiz response.
Site visit counts
So we can see whether people are reaching this website, each page sends our own server a small page-view record: the page address, the site that linked you here, any UTM campaign tags in the link, your country (looked up from your connection by our hosting provider), and whether you are on a phone, tablet, or computer. Visits are grouped with a random visit ID kept in your browser tab's session storage, which ends when you close the tab.
Page views do not use cookies, store IP addresses or browser details, or go to a third-party analytics service. We delete them after about 13 months.
Public checklist access
The public checklist library does not require an email address, account, or access cookie. Checklist previews and PDF downloads are ordinary public website files.
How waitlist information may be used
Waitlist information may be used to contact you about early access, beta availability, and relevant product updates.
Children
HomeGuard Weather is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
United States only
HomeGuard Weather is built for homes in the United States and its data is processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and we will give additional notice in the app or by email for material changes.

FAQ
Does HomeGuard track me across the web?
No. The app has no advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics. The waitlist and Home Readiness Check flows do not store raw IP addresses, require cookies, or add invasive tracking. They keep only the information described on this page, plus basic marketing attribution such as UTM fields, referrer, and capture time. The site also counts page views on its own server, without cookies or IP addresses, so we can see which pages people visit.
How do I delete my HomeGuard account and data?
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account. This removes your account and household data from our servers and revokes Sign in with Apple. You can also email hello@homeguardweather.com.
