HomeGuard Weather is an iPhone app for forecast-based home-care checklists, free to start, with HomeGuard+ at $59.99/year or $9.99/month, no hardware required. For help, email hello@homeguardweather.com. This page covers deleting your account, managing or restoring HomeGuard+, and fixing location and notification problems. HomeGuard Weather works for homes in the United States.

Delete your account
In the app, open Settings → Delete account, then confirm with Sign in with Apple. This permanently deletes your account and household data from HomeGuard’s servers and that iPhone, and revokes HomeGuard’s Sign in with Apple connection. You need an internet connection. If you can’t sign in, email hello@homeguardweather.com for help.
Deleting your account or the app does not cancel HomeGuard+. Cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
Manage, cancel, or restore HomeGuard+
- Manage or cancel: on iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → HomeGuard Weather, or choose Manage subscription from HomeGuard+ in the app’s Settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period or free trial to avoid the next charge.
- Restore purchases: open HomeGuard+ in the app’s Settings and tap Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account you subscribed with.
- Refunds: purchases are billed by Apple; request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Location problems
- HomeGuard uses your location only while you use the app. If it can’t find your home, check Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → HomeGuard on your iPhone.
- You can type your home’s street address, including the house number, instead of sharing your location.
- HomeGuard uses National Weather Service alerts and forecasts, so it works only for homes in the United States.
Notification problems
- Check that notifications are allowed for HomeGuard in iPhone Settings → Notifications.
- In the app’s Settings, check which weather alert types create checklists.
- Focus modes and Low Power Mode can delay or silence notifications.
- Checklists still appear in the app when notifications are off.

Is HomeGuard an emergency alert system?
No. HomeGuard Weather is for awareness and preparation. In severe weather, follow the National Weather Service and local officials.
